The Newport String Project will present its resident ensemble, the Newport String Quartet, in concert at the Four Corners Arts Center in music by the much-loved composer W.A. Mozart, rarely heard Dutch composer Henriette Bosmans, and Syrian American composer Kareem Roustom.
This concert is supported by a Challenge America grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and local individual sponsors.

Hiroya Tsukamoto Outdoor Concert
Hiroya Tsukamoto is a guitarist and composer originally from Kyoto, Japan. Blending world music, jazz and folk, Tsukamoto has been described as eclectic, immersive and mesmerizing; his music will take the audience on an innovative, impressionistic journey filled with earthy, organic soundscapes that impart a mood of peace and tranquility.
In 2000, Hiroya received a scholarship to Berklee College of Music and came to the United States. He formed his own group in Boston “INTEROCEANICO (inter-oceanic)” which consists of unique musicians from different continents including Latin Grammy Colombian singer Marta Gomez. The group released three acclaimed records (“The Other Side of the World”, “Confluencia” and “Where the River Shines”). Hiroya has released three solo albums (“Solo”, “Heartland” and “Places”).

Mike Laureanno Benefit Concert for the Four Corners Arts Center
The Four Corners Arts Center is pleased to present Mike Laureanno on Sunday October 10 at 2:00 PM on the Meeting House grounds. (3850Main Rd. Mike Laureanno hails from Fall River, MA and many of his songs deal with his gritty blue collar hometown and the lives of his family and friends. He has performed on main stage at folk festivals and venues such as the New Bedford Folk Festival and The Narrows and he has won several songwriting contests, including the Woody Guthrie songwriting contest in 2016. Mike has released four albums to date, Pushing Back Wintertime (2013), Road Signs (2015), Tightrope (2017) and I Come from Fall River (2021).
Sounds of Harmony Gong Meditation
Sounds of Harmony graced us with sound vibrations of gongs, bells, crystal bowls and assorted resonant instruments that washed around and through us to enhance a meditative state the eve of Tropical Storm Henri and we've brought them back for an autumn sound event!
This event will include an introduction to attunement through breath and body awareness,
a dynamic sound celebration, and a finish with grounding techniques and gentle movement
to help integrate your experience. This will take place outdoors. Please bring a chair or blanket
to lie on and wear comfortable/warm clothes.

Announcing the inaugural Plein Air Paint Out among the picturesque gardens and grounds of Historic Tiverton Four Corners; Saturday, September 25th from 9:00 – 5:00. T4C Merchants Association, Arts Center and Gallery at Four invite artists to register by September 10. Maps & lunch provided! Painters may venture throughout the village to find their chosen angle of interest among the historic shops, gardens, paths, streams, fences, flowers and other inspirations. Paint all day then gather together for
a viewing and awards. Three prizes will be awarded by the guest judge. Third prize is $100, Second prize is $150 and First Price is $250 plus an invitation to participate in the 2021 Gallery at Four Holiday Exhibition.
Registration is $50 with limited spaces available. Artists must bring their own art supplies, weather gear, easel, chair and any other item needed to work in the field. Bring a cooler and water for the day. Boxed lunch and additional beverages will be provided. Restrooms and a cleanup sink will be marked on maps to guide you. Details about the guest judge, sponsors, parking, etc. provided soon. Rain date: Sunday, September 26. Extreme rain date: following weekend. Sign up now and save your spot!
