Art & Nature Camp for Littles
MORNINGS

Campers Ages 4- 7
Join us mornings for our annual Art & Nature Camp this summer for either a one or two week long experience July 15th - July 19th and/or July 22nd -July 26th. Young campers will be encouraged to connect with the natural world while nourishing creativity through ART. Campers will exercise their imagination through pretend play and opportunities to explore various forms of art.
Camp will take place in the studio and outside on our scenic Sculpture Park grounds.
Pre-registration and payment in full are required. Space is limited, so don't wait to sign up for this exciting drop-off art camp experience!

Juliette Casselman is an experienced art educator and nature enthusiast. She has taught art and STEAM workshops in libraries, community centers, and schools throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Besides being a mother she is also currently an art teacher extraordinaire in the public school system. Juliette’s sense of humor, wild imagination and ability to make EVERYONE smile makes us very lucky to have her joining us this summer for our annual summer camp.

Campers will be visiting local artisan studios in Tiverton Four Corners and will create their own nature themed original artwork. Campers will be encouraged to connect with the natural world while nourishing creativity through ART!

MAY SATURDAY STEAM SESSIONS
Marble Roller-coaster
May 4th 2024

Ages 7- 12
We’ll learn about the zany inventions of cartoonists Rube Goldberg, and then in teams, young artists and engineers will design and build their own Rube inspired marble roller-coasters from creative household materials.
The workshop will take place in the Four Corners Arts studio at 3848 LL Main Road.

Terrific Triangles
May 11th 2024

Ages 7- 12
What can we learn from how animals build houses? Young artists and engineers will learn about shapes in nature and the clever building methods of Buckminster Fuller. Build lightweight geodesic domes and original sculptures from triangles! Come spend the morning exploring fun building methods with a series of building challenges inspired by the animal kingdom.

June SATURDAY STEAM SESSIONS
Catapult Painting
June 1st 2024
10:00 - 12:00 PM
Ages 7- 12
We’ll learn about the elements of a simple machine by building catapults from household objects. We’ll then test our engineering by catapulting paint to create unique designs.
The workshop will take place in the Four Corners Arts studio at 3848 LL Main Road.

Chromatography & Paper Mobiles
June 29th 2024
10:00 - 12:00 PM
Ages 7- 12.
Just like how a prism can separate sunlight into many different colors of light to maker a rainbow. Chemical mixtures can also be broken into parts. One way of doing this is a simple technique called paper chromatography. We will separate black ink into a rainbow of color and then incorporate our experiment into a paper mobile.
The workshop will take place in the Four Corners Arts studio at 3848 LL Main Road.
